This tour takes students on an exploration of world class museums and research institutions – from particle physics to sustainability, high-tech architecture to cutting-edge science, maths, technology and their interface with art in all its forms.

Students come away with a greater understanding of the inter-relationship between STEAM disciplines and how each contribute to creative thinking and solutions to real-world challenges.

Day 1-2

Depart Australia ⤑ Arrive in Geneva, Switzerland

Day 2-3

Geneva

Get hands-on with particle physics phenomena and superconductivity at CERN, the world’s largest particle physics laboratory and home to the Hadron Collider.

Take a tutorial on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Day 4-6

Frankfurt & surrounds

Tour this international financial hub. Take workshops opening the door to mathematical and scientific phenomena - EXPLORA Science Centre and Giessen Mathematikum. Learn about the mathematics of money at the Money Museum, and get immersed in the art and culture of Rhine-Main at Museum Giersch.

Day 6-8

Frankfurt ⤑ Paris

Coach to Paris. Discover engineering marvels - Paris Sewers and the Pompidou’s high-tech architecture. Take workshops exploring ideas expressed through contemporary art – Picasso to Matisse. Enjoy downtime at Disneyland Paris.

Day 9-12

London & surrounds

Eurostar to London. Workshop scientific research programs at the Natural History Museum. Delve into ciphers, code-breaking and fusion. Focus on engineering – from Brunel to the Thames Barrier. Get immersed at the V&A, BM, NPG and more. Workshop sustainability, design and architecture.
