This tour immerses students in the language, history and culture of China – from the imperial landmarks of Beijing and ancient wonders of Xi’an, to the dynamic blend of old and new in Shanghai.
Along the way, students experience traditional practices, explore iconic sites and gain insight into one of the world’s oldest continuous civilisations.
Day 1-2
Depart Australia ⤑ Arrive in Beijing
Beijing
Explore the bustling city of Beijing with guided visits of Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. Participate in a tai chi lesson. Excursion to walk along The Great Wall.
Day 2-4
Xi’an
Travel by high speed train to Xi’an. Enjoy a bike ride along the ancient city walls. Enjoy an evening Tang Dynasty show. View the famous Terracotta Warriors.
Day 5-6
Shanghai
Continue on train to Shanghai. Enjoy a walk along the Bund to see the mix of traditional and modern architecture. Visit the French Concession Area and the Shanghai Museum.
Day 7-8
Day 9-10
Depart Shanghai ⤑ Arrive in Australia
