Day 1
⤑ Arrive in Singapore
City Planning and Development
Begin your journey with a walking tour through Chinatown to learn about the early immigrants to Singapore. Explore the City Gallery to understand how Singapore has been planned and developed into a modern city through interactive exhibits, models, and multimedia displays. Ascend to the rooftop garden of the CapitaSpring to look at the use of space in a small city state.
Day 2
Singapore History
Begin the day with a visit to the National Museum of Singapore. The collections will guide students through the country’s history from early migration, colonialisation, WWII, Japanese occupation and its transformation into a global city. Visit Kampong Glam, the city’s traditional trading hub and cultural melting pot since the 19th Century. Explore the Asian Civilisations Museum to view ancient artefacts from around the region and evidence of trade along the Silk Roads. Embark on a bumboat cruise along the river to learn how trade shaped Singapore’s development into a global city.
Day 3
Battle of Singapore
Step beneath Fort Canning Hill and enter the Battlebox, the former British underground WWII command centre, now an immersive experience. Visit the Former Ford Factory where the surrendered formally occurred, now a museum documenting the fall and wartime occupation of the island. Pay your respects to the fallen soldiers at Kranji War Cemetery, Commonwealth War Graves cemetery. Learn about the POW experience at Changi Memorial Chapel and Museum.
Day 4
Business and Innovation
Take a walking tour at ONE North, the silicone hub of Singapore. See the various innovations that have been implemented in this area as part of a test bed for the smart nation Singapore plan. Visit an innovation centre to learn about the uses of AI, VR and digital payments to meet consumer needs. Visit a successful startup and meet with an ecosystem builder.
Day 5
Sustainability
Travel to Koh Fah Technology Farm in the morning to learn about Singapore’s hi-tech vegetable farming system. The guided tour will bring you through the facility and explain a little about the hydroponics system used in these greenhouses. Spend the afternoon at the Sustainable Singapore Gallery to discover how Singapore manages its water resources and environmental initiatives through interactive exhibits. Visit two domes at Gardens by the Bay followed by dinner and to watch the Garden Rhapsody light show.
Day 6
Mandai Wildlife Reserve
Enjoy a full day visit to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Learn about the importance of environmental sustainability at Singapore Zoo. Venture across five vibrant, interactive worlds and uncover the wonders of nature at Exploria. Engage with ecosystems through the eyes of animals and discover how you can help protect our shared planet.
