Tour Highlights
Explore the rich biodiversity of the Daintree World Heritage area from European and Indigenous perspectives. Become a marine biologist for the day and learn about Great Barrier Reef restoration projects.
Go behind the scenes at the Cairns Aquarium for a workshop on its conservation and turtle rehab efforts.
Participate in tree planting as a community service activity.
Settle in at an Environmental Education Centre for field study investigations of mangrove and beach ecosystems, water quality, and the impact of pollution on marine life. Participate in exciting team and individual pursuits – abseiling, high ropes, navigation and kayaking.
Explore the diverse landscapes of the Atherton Tableland and the region’s role as a food bowl for tropical fruit, tea and coffee.
Learn about the life cycles and adaptations of the flora and fauna of the Wet Tropics.
End with a whitewater rafting day on the Tully River.
