This itinerary offers an immersive exploration of the revolutionary movements that shaped modern Europe. From the French Revolution of 1789 to the German revolutions of 1848 and beyond, students will visit key historical sites, museums, and monuments that bring these pivotal events to life. 

Through guided tours, expert talks, and hands-on learning, the tour aims to deepen understanding of the political, social, and cultural impacts of revolution. 

Day 1-2

Depart Australia ⤑ Arrive in Paris

Paris

Take a French Revolution walking tour of the city centre. Explore Les Invalides Military Museum and Napoleon’s Tomb. Visit the Chateau and Gardens of Versailles. Excursion to the WWI battlefields of the Somme Valley.

Day 3-5

Berlin

Learn about the establishment of Germany at the German Historical Museum. Take a guided walk through the city centre to view key historical landmarks. Investigate the Cold War era at the DDR Museum and Berlin Wall Memorial and Documentation Centre.

Day 6-8

Nuremberg

Lunch stop in Weimar en route to the medieval town of Nuremberg. Guided walking tour of the Nazi Rally Grounds. Learn about the Nazi war trials at Courtroom 600.

Day 9-11

Munich

Guided visit of Dachau concentration camp memorial site. Explore the Munich Documentation Centre.

Day 12

Day 13-14

Depart Munich ⤑ Arrive in Australia
