This tour takes students on a journey through time – from the ancient worlds of Athens and Rome to the French Revolution.

Students come away with a greater understanding of how both ancient and modern societies shaped their social, economic, political and cultural landscapes, and the influence of the past on the world of today.

Day 1-2

Depart Australia ⤑ Arrive in Athens

Athens

Investigate the social, political and economic features of ancient Athens with guided visits of the Acropolis, National Archaeological Museum and Museum of Ancient Greek Technology. Excursion to Delphi to tour the ancient site and museum.

Day 3-5

Rome

Enhance your knowledge of ancient Roman society with visits to the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Roman Forum and Capitoline Museum. Tour the former port of Ostia Antica and the Baths of Caracalla.

Day 6-8

Paris

Take a French Revolution walking tour of the city centre. Explore Les Invalides Military Museum and Napoleon’s Tomb. Visit the Chateau and Gardens of Versailles. Ascend the Arc de Triomphe. Excursion to the WWI battlefields of the Somme Valley.

Day 9-12

Day 13-14

Depart Paris ⤑ Arrive in Australia
