Depart Australia ⤑ Arrive in Manchester

Day 2-3

Manchester

Take a creative writing workshop and study Gaskell’s depiction of gender, class and industrialisation in North and South. Tour the Lowry Theatre incl. intensive drama workshop & evening performance.

Day 4

Stratford-upon-Avon

Visit Shakespeare’s House, tour ‘behind the scenes’ at the Swan Theatre and attend an evening performance by the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Day 5-6

Swansea

Visit the Dylan Thomas Centre – engage with the writer’s life and the rich prose, dialogue and characters of his dramatic work, Under Milk Wood.

Day 7

Bath

Explore Bath and the Georgian streetscapes and sites synonymous with Jane Austen’s critique of class and manners.

Day 8-12

London

Explore a truly global city – from a Shakespearean workshop to the writings of Keats, Dickens, the Bloomsbury set and Shaffer. Immersive workshops in drama, theatre-making and theatre technics at the National Theatre and LAMDA, and a Warner Bros tour. Evening performances at The Globe, West End musical and Improv Theatre.
