Your On-Tour Academic Expert

Science Subject Area Expert

Amanda Paterson

I am a Science educator with three decades of experience in the government and independent school sectors - including as Head of Learning Area-Science at an independent girls’ high school, and A/Head of Science at an independent boys’ school.

Bringing alive the science curriculum and developing students’ love of learning and discovery has been my passion.  To that end, it has been my goal to mentor and support science teachers to adopt classroom practices that nurture curiosity, encourage scientific thinking, and promote hands-on learning opportunities - enabling students to explore the natural world and cutting-edge scientific innovation.

I look forward to contributing my knowledge and approaches to science pedagogy with teachers, through the Libertas Travel professional development tours.
