TOUR DETAILS

Itinerary

Day 1

Depart Sydney

The group will meet at the airport and fly to Seoul.
Transfer to the hotel on private coach for a late dinner. 

Day 2

Introduction to Korean Culture

Explore the largest Royal Palace of Gyeongbokgung and the traditional Bukchon Hanok Village. Immerse yourself in Korean culture by dressing in traditional hanbok attire and participating in a tea ceremony.

In the evening, attend a performance of The Painters - a dynamic performance that seamlessly blends live painting, K-pop dance, and multimedia art.

Day 3

K-Pop and Design

Participate in a beginners level K-Pop dance class to start your day. Then visit HiKR Ground, an homage to all things K-Culture.  Explore Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) with buildings designed by Zaha Hadid and Samoo. Enjoy your choice of Korean street food at the Gwanggjang Market for dinner. 

Day 4

Art and Design

Visit the Leeum Museum of Art to explore its collections of traditional Korean art and contemporary global works. Visit the Seoul Museum of Craft Art and participate in a hands-on workshop to create norigae and bojagi, traditional charms.

This evening, attend a performance of the Nanta Show, Korea’s longest running comedic show about a chaotic kitchen.

Day 5

Nami Island Excursion

A short trip outside of Seoul is tranquil Nami Island. Here you will visit the Garden of Morning Calm, famous for its themed gardens and as a popular site for filming K-Dramas. Walk around the areas of Petite France, Italia Village and Fairytale Village.

Day 6

K-Drama

Attend a K-Drama introductory acting class to experience the intensity and charm of Korean drama performances.

Enjoy a free afternoon before attending an evening performance in the vibrant theatre district of Daehak-ro.

Day 7

Music

Experience the unique sounds and stories of Korea at the National Gugak Centre. Enjoy a performance of traditional music featuring cultural storytelling that reflect centuries of heritage.

This evening the group enjoys a farewell dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 8

Depart Seoul

Free morning for last minute sightseeing and shopping before the flight home.

Arrive Sydney

  • Age:  Participants must be over 18 years of age to participate in the program

    Travel documentation:  

    Participants must ensure that they:

    • Have a valid passport with six months’ validity from their return date to Australia

    • Obtain any required visas for travel to the destination country, plus any additional visas required for holders of non-Australian passports

    • Obtain their own travel insurance

  • This tour includes hours of PD as related to syllabus content. Teachers should add the PD to eTAMS or their personal log.

  • Register Interest to join the mailing list for updates on this tour. Once the tour reaches its minimum interest requirement of attending teachers, you will receive a copy of the booking form and tour payment schedule. A non-refundable deposit will then be payable to confirm your place.

    The final balance of the tour price is due 120 days prior to departure.

  • You certainly can! Anyone can travel on our PL tours, however, non-teachers should be aware the content will be targeted to the relevant syllabus and based on a certain level of prior knowledge. Should any participant choose not to attend one of the planned activities, there would be no refund for an unused portion of the tour.

    Please note - Participants must be over 18 years of age to attend the tour, and attendees who are not teachers in Australia may not be able to acquire PL hours or tax deductions.
